The intended renovation project here was quickly ruled out as the existing building had no foundations! The new house was designed with generous shaded terraces at each of the three levels. Our client, a well known English garden designer, knew exactly what she wanted to achieve with the landscaping; the garden above the double garage shelters the pool area from sea breezes. The light filled living areas and bedrooms all open out onto terraces in different areas around the house, while the lower ground floor houses a gym, sauna, technical rooms, with all the levels linked by a tall and well lit stairwell.
